Head of Commercial / Partnerships


NOTE: this is a remote position. We don't have offices and run a distributed team. Although this position is subject to at least 4 company meetings every year in Madrid and other areas of Spain. At marketgoo we are hiring a Head of Commercial / Partnerships, a high level role at the company to contribute to scale our business by:

  1. Qualifying and acquiring a unattended portfolio of 200 global partners to keep developing our reselling business of SEO SaaS solutions

  2. Introducing our data intelligence solutions to enterprise SMB providers worldwide

This Senior-level position is for someone who:

  • Has significant sales experience (10 years+) at the Enterprise Level (ACVs $100k+) - in the  Software or SaaS products space

  • A track record of strong performance and over-performance of meeting company goals, objectives, and quotas

  • Demonstrative sales and consulting strength and very high negotiation and communication skills, especially with C-level

  • Ideally you have experience in the Web Hosting Industry or any other SMB Provider (Publishers, Managed Service Companies) channel vendors and solutions. 

  • You are ideally an English native speaker

  • Are willing to travel eventually to visit partners and attend conferences (US, UK, Germany, etc)

  • Willing to work in a fast-pace environment

  • Wants to experience a startup with a strong Culture and values freedom and flexibility to work, live and travel

marketgoo operates in the B2B SaaS space. Our WHY is to build a company our own way while we create digital products. At this point we operate two business lines that provide web presence providers with solutions to improve their customer’s SEO and online discoverability, and a solution for agencies to optimize their internal marketing and sales  activities.  

Our mission is to help businesses succeed online. marketgoo offers software solutions for SMBs to grow their business online by providing powerful, yet simple and easy to use SEO tools. We are a small, bootstrapped, profitable company that is fully distributed - although most of our members live in Spain. 

We work with dozens of reseller partners all over the world with English speaking markets (US, CA, AU)  as our main target. Our target customers are Hosting Companies, SMB providers, Publishers, WordPress providers, Telecommunication companies and digital Agencies.

Our main business is 10 years old and has been evolving ever since, but we feel like our story is just beginning. We operate a stable global SaaS business and we are on a mission to scale our company in the following years. Our 3 year picture is to double our revenue by expanding our main business and launching another successful product. Our team is young and hungry to keep evolving in our business footprint but also in the way we do business. 

About the job

This is a key role for our business. We are looking for a person that would make a huge impact in the way we operate while being an important part of the scale up we are looking for in the next few years.

Our company is very well organized, but the context we operate in is complex and we are looking for a role that would have a growth mindset and that would be key to support our growth.

This is the perfect job for somebody who has previous experience in sales and business development in the current industry and who wants to enter a new challenge in a culture-minded company that is ambitious.

The job consists of creating partnerships with enterprise companies and also to provide solutions and end customer technology.  

This is a high responsibility role. 

You'll be working closely with the Leadership Team of marketgoo which consists of the GM, Integrator, Head of Product, Head of Engineering and Head of Marketing. And also in the Business team which consists of Account Management and Partner Success. 

We expect you to expend at least two weeks of onboarding process in Madrid

  • You should have a strong understanding of SaaS or Software business

  • Professional working proficiency in English. And colloquial Spanish would be desirable. You must be comfortable speaking with international customers and team members.

  • Experience working remotely.

  • Your main roles would be:

    • Be the first and main point of contact for new business prospects. 

    • Engage new qualified leads through outbound communication (email, social & phone).

    • Develop, test & document email narratives and prospective talk-tracks

    • Draft and negotiate new partner agreements.

    • Pipeline and forecast management

    • Market development

  • Your main challenges in this role:

    • Dealing with long sales cycles

    • Working at a small but ambitious company

This is definitely a position for a person who wants to heavily contribute to the growth of a SaaS company aiming to scale and make a dent.
